The War and the Worry...

Aren’t u surprised as I am by the war hysteria?

In the repercussions, of 26/11 we lounged around in sensibility of Indian reaction. Eventhough we knew quite quickly that attacks were a work of terrorists based in Pakistan, we didn't give in to the impulse.
Phone intercepts, recovered phones proved Pakistan connections. Captured-alive terrorist too confessed of being of pak origin.

To all this, our response had two options--
1- To say that this proved Pak involvement and then launch surgical strikes on training camps in Pak.
2- To buy Zardari’s claim that although they had pak connections, they weren’t sponsored.

I feel we were reasonable in choosing second option, rejecting war option. But we trusted Zardari (or maybe gave him BoD- benefit of doubt) believing that he was sincere when he talked of peace with India. Besides, we trusted America, allegedly feeling its elderly hand on our shoulders. Pak was indebted to America and Condoleezza’s assurance that pak would take action on the terror groups made us breathe easy.

But today, a month after the attack, 2 things have taken place,
1- Pakistan has again ensured us to help get the doers of the attack, maintaining that there’s no evidence at all of any Pak involvement! (BLOODY HELL!). Kasab’s evidences have been unearthed.
2- Pakistan has built up war hysteria. Its ministers, every hour of day, accuse India of targeting Pak.

Result?
We, like a stockhouse of kindness, didn't threaten war but hoped that Pak would co-operate. But let alone helping us, Pak is accusing India of accusing it for attacks!
Counting on Zardari, we hoped that war hysteria won't build up, but it has eventually built up! Not by us, but by Pak itself! Now Zardari, Where are you???

FORGET GETTING HELP, NOW INDIA IS BUSY DEFENDING AGAINST CHARGES OF SEEKING TO INVADE PAK AND THE RELIGION.. w.t.f!

Pakistan would neither help us in getting attack doers nor it'll hand over Dawood.
US?? Where is US? They're now busy preparing for their new President’s Welcome!

I do appreciate Delhi’s efforts to keep away from war, I m not a war monger but I feel Pak has tweaked both US and India. And India has no co-operation, no justice, besides, it has to keep satisfying America to get its help on Kashmir issue.

So,
#Where does this leave all us Indians?
---In a jeopardy!
#Where does it leave indo-pak?
---There, where they’ve been all there life, in A STATE OF IRRELEVANCE.
#Where does it leave me?
---Writing a blog, as if its gonna make any difference to the scheme of things.
Hehe.

Good Day/Night !

The I-AM-GOD Attitude .

Now here's a friend of mine who believes he's a God! (My computer monitor doesn't act as a mirror!)
God?
Yes. God!
How? Why?
Here's the answer -

If you want me to do something for you, have faith in me and let me do it the way I want! Just tell me once and forget it. No nosey behaviour. But if you don't show faith, I won't give a damn to your request!
That’s his first principle.

And secondly, and perhaps the more popular one amongst Gods -
Uske ghar mein der hai, par andher nahi! (Perhaps delayed but guaranteed to come!)

Something clicked?
You behave the same way too? If people request something from you, you don't want them to keep bothering you with it, right? Continuously asking about the progress of THEIR work? It boils your blood, right? I'm Mr. High and Mighty doing HIS work and still he shows distrust by asking me questions!?

Yes, its true that if you want your wish to be fulfilled by God, you have to ask it in faith.
No faith, no wish, no desires! Have faith and get everything.
But then, everybody wishes something or the other. Everybody has his or her desires. And they all ask for it. Some get fulfilled while some are still in the pipeline, waiting...

But there is existence of another entity that can never be denied. And that's Luck! Luck is what? A consolation prize? A co incidence? An 'ask one – get one' free offer from God? Or God is trying to sell away his old stock which is about to expire?
Call it anything! Absolutely anything. Whatever it might be, it certainly spreads a beautiful smile on some face. I'll call luck, a gift of God! A gift which is sent to help you out, or sometimes to motivate you, or just to bring a little smile to wash away the gloom.

If God, THE ALMIGHTY GOD cares so much about us and sends us his unique gift called luck even if we haven't asked for it, why can't we mortals do something? I mean, if you guys really think you all are great, then really BE great! Do something for somebody! Spread a smile somewhere. Feel the multiplied joy it gives YOU!

If you believe you're God, then really BE a God! Do something for somebody today! Without he/ she begging you for it! Spread smile. Spread love. Just do it!

God wont mind calling you a God!

And remember, every good deed you do, will be returned in two folds! So get up! Really be a God!

Me and MYthology !

It dates back to days when I was in 8th, (some 6-7yrs back). I decided to have a mention of this in my blog cos I really feel its very very hilarious but took hell outta me!

There was a G.K. Quiz Competition (General Knowledge in case u dont've GK :P)scheduled in our School in coming week then.
The teams were to contain 1 player, from 8th 9th 10th each !

Selections began. Some guys had to prove themselves while some were chosen based on their academic performances. (I belonged to the 2nd case). Our teachers dint have enuf G.K. to understand at least that “all good-at-academics-students" needn’t be good at G.K. and that too ME?, worst choice they ever made!

Like most of the schools, our school had 4 houses.
And unlike all other schools, their names were Venus, Mercury, Jupiter and Pluto.

I was 8th Std candidate from Venus house. :)

I admit right here, then, I had worst of GK one cud have!
I din even kno who was first PM of India ! ? but then my seniors said that we shudn expect such easy questions! ?I was left spellbound. Dint kno how to take back my name, thousand thoughts crossed my mind.
I thought of bunking the school on the Quiz day, or to ask Ma’am to take somebody else (showing some sense o responsibility towards betterment of the Venus house)as I wasn’t really the suitable candidate. All reasons, from vague to reasonable, crossed my mind, but finally like a stupid fellow, I decided to ‘study’ for it. (does anybody ‘study’ for a GK quiz????)(that too say 4 days befor!!!) I did!

Came home, my aunt had come to meet mom. She had my cousin’s schoolbag with her for some reasons, I casually opened the bag and found this book called “Cadbury's Bournvita Book of India".

Those days, there was this show very very famous, called- The Bournvita Quiz Contest on Zee TV hosted by Derek O'Brien..
The book was won by my cousin after answering some questions the show asked the tv-audience :) After going thru the book i thot it 'might' be of some help for pre-quiz preparation. So i took it...

I studied it thoroughly. ‘Studied’ means, ‘Read’ questions, then turned the pages for the ‘answers’!

Finally THE day came, we were all invited over the stage where the furniture was set for 4 houses’ representatives (for the quiz) (supposedly with very good GK).
We were made to give our introduction. Name-House-Class-Division in that order.
Venus team had me, a Captain from 9th Std and a Guy from 10th.

It started.
There were four rounds!
I really don’t remember the names, but all I do remember is we were worst till fourth round started. Venus stood in the last position, 10 marks behind the third position.
The 4th round wasMythology’. Now Me and MYthology ?? Hahaha!
It was a buzzer round and I knew, my hand would never go to press it!

Questions started shooting. One by one. And to my surprise! And to everybody’s surprise, I pressed the buzzer 5 times in a row !!!! Venus was at the 1st position ! :)

Everybody present there was shell shocked ! For 1- The girl (me) never gave any answer in previous 3 rounds and 2-, people who knew me well, knew very well that I was worst at Mythology!
Then, how the hell is she giving all the answers??? I read every face and same question was displayed in all eyes , even my group mates’ !

The round was over and in the end we managed to win the contest! And I was the star of the show. Everybody clapped, our House Mistress came and hugged me ! everybody was very happy, except, obviously, the other groups!

When everythin was goin ever so perfect, the Captain of Jupiter House (name not mentioned, or he'll come to kill me today :) ) rose, and objected on our win (on mic). I somehow wished he was made to shut his mouth and sent back home or simpler(ly) the mic should be switched off but to my disgrace nothing of this happened.

He stood up and said, the quiz was fixed and she (pointing towards me) was told the questions beforehand!”
To which our Princi reciprocated, “have u gone nuts? The questions are kept very confidential and no one’s allowed to leak em.”

I, then, understood the matter, I walked down the stage to the Princi and said, Sir, I happened to study, maybe, probably, from the same book from which you all had set the questions for ‘mythology’. And that’s why…………but sir, thats sheer coincidence and I had no info that questions were being set up from the ‘bournvita book’ for mythology, infact I din even know that there was any round on ‘mythology' or any book called bournvita !!! "

He listened to me carefully. And in the end made an announcement to the audience to keep silence, went towards the staff, discussed the case and came back. I was gripped by fear…… I thought he wud abandon this quiz and declare another quiz with different group of students. In that case, they all would call me a cheater when the incidence was sheer CO-incidence, a matter of luck! (that day i realised the importance of two alphabets 'C and O' in 'coincidence'!! :) )

But to my fortune and their "missed-fortune", he kept the quiz valid and all objections were over-ruled !
The Venus house won the Quiz……And I was the star that day… and for few weeks that followed!

(at the end of the day) I thanked God for ending it on a good note (for me) and thanked Aunt for letting me have the book. :)
And then i went to sleep.... Zzzzzzzz! he he :) :)

Goodnight/day!

Random Ponderings....

Friends,
here are some questions which will certainly leave you perplexed, baffled or probably make you pull out your hair or simply leave you mystified..

I went thru these somewhere, i don't really remember where. . .
all are simple yes-no questions but they do get the hell outta you!

Here it goes!

1. Are you a trendsetter ?
2. Would you rather starve to death or eat another person ?
3. Would you rather have hair on your palms or have hair on your gums ?
4. Would you rather be smart n ugly or dumb n hot ?
5. Would you rather have 11 fingers or nine fingers ?
6. Would you rather have no arms , no legs ?
7. Most people would describe you as- LIKEABLE, INTELLIGENT, PASSIONATE ?
8. What’s worse-- being overdressed, being underdressed ?

What if tomorrow, circumstantially, we are made to choose like this??
It will be too tough....

What do you reckon? :)

The Beginning

To begin with....

I express myself here in a manner which may sometimes appeal to u, and most of the times may not.

what you read is how i feel.
If some of them appear extremist to you, feel free to post your views about it.

chao..

The Terror Fire !

There's a Hotel called - 'INDIA', Owned/Run by dirty 'POLITICIANS' and the customers are 'THE TERRORISTS'.
The Menu card reads- Jaipur, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bangalore and finally...
My Mumbai... !
After the
26th Nov tragedy, i've broken into pieces. After sleepless nights for a week, finally, i've realised that the attack has shattered me from within.
I'm a
Mumbaikar (i can say so given the fact that i've been staying here since a considerable period of time and a regular commuter in locals and buses to camouflage any other Mumbaikar!, also, over a period of time i've developed this feeling of belongingness to this city!). A person who's physically not affected by the attacks but mentally, completely!

After every mishap the city restores itself quickly, but is that why we should always be targeted?
We are angry, and have enuf to be angry about. To begin each day without surety if we'll return safe, (or alive), isn't very appealing. Is it?

Things shouldn't have to be this way! Supposed to be objects of envy, now we are subjects of sympathy!
why?

The
answer is here !
The politics which has gripped this country like a gangrene, should be thrown away before its too late, but even as i write this, its already too late, isn't it?

Lack of form shown by political
'stalwarts' sums up a big deal for me.
Begging for votes, after
200 deaths, looks bad. so does the shit on the roads!
but does anybody care? Do u care?

As far as the
'issue of more stringent anti-terror laws' are concerned, i feel its garbage!
Today, its Congress, tomorrow it'll be, maybe, um... say BJP, but is that gonna STOP these bad men from doing the shit !?!

No!
coz in the end, factors that determine the feasibility of any terror attack is,

  • Political Mess-up.
  • Law of Averages.

Crazy I am?

Fine! Let's wait for another ten guys come in. Ask them
