Vodafone Zoozoo Ads

WELCOME TO EARTH !!! If you have not watched the Vodafone’s Zoozoo ads.

Gone are the days when people used to switch channel during commercial breaks.. Especially this IPL season, yes, the IPL sponsor Vodafone’s famous new series of advertisements is creating a sway all over..

Attracted 30,000 users on FaceBook, and still counting. What’s so special about these ads is these Creatures, who come from a different world and speak an unidentifiable language… endorsing Vodafone’s wide range of services and products in their own innocent-smart way! : )

For all those who, even for a moment, thought that these are animated, read on- here’s a revelation/disclosure… These are real people wearing white costumes. Ogilvy & Mather, the agency handling these ads said that they had to use real people as time didn’t permit them to create animations as IPL was on its way. Generally, task is to make Animations look as Real as possible but they had it other way round. To project Real thing as Animated was their job! : )

The actors are basically small-bodied, thin women wearing the white fabric made of light matl. Zoozoos’ head is almost 7 times that of normal human head, to make body look relatively small. The facial expressions are made of rubber and then pasted on it. Shadows happen to be spray painted… :O  Everything sounds so unbelievable!! Doesn’t it?

The movements are hurried to make it look comical, this is achieved by filming it at 20fps (frames per second) instead of normal 25fps. The Zoozoo language is done by a trick too… these are no specific words that are identifiable in any language, the words are rubbish/garbage and the voice is tweaked by increasing the pitch and the speed of recording. Because Zoozoos are extraterrestrial, their language has to be alien too : )

These ads are a real treat introducing us to a parallel world of funny characters… and simplest expressions : ) There are a total of 29 ads, one released daily for over the entire IPL season.

Fake IPL Player

This entire IPL world is buzzing, one thing thats making the hearsay is the 'Fake IPL Player'

He claims to be from the KKR's team! and has successfully kept his identity hidden! He posts all the happenings of the dressing room in detail by using code names for the players...

eg:

Lordie- Sourav Ganguly

Sheikh- Shane Warne

Dildo- Shahrukh Khan

some which i could make out...

If you haven't read it yet, make sure you do ! He has posted as many as 28 posts ... each worth reading atleast once....

This can be a fake faking on a fake profile but we cant dismiss it so easily. Why? well, you have to read it once, to believe it...

The fake ipl player has as many as 2570 something followers and each post he posts gets, on an avg, as many as 130 comments.

Murphy in Cricket

Lack of posting on my blog has worthy reason behind it, tons of new stuff going on in my Life. I wanted to write today and it’s unbelievable I am actually writing a post! *Someone please pinch me, to make sure this is real!* ‘cause things aren’t going my way, of late, and this has made me bank so much on the Murphy’s Law.

Statement of Murphy’s Law-

If anything can go wrong, it will.

And in my life, it is!                                                                        

No matter how hard a fight you give, if you were destined to lose, you do lose! Yes, I’m talking about the Thursday’s match between the Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals. Everything looked decent. The score- gettable, The Wickets- Available, RR- Attainable, Dada- On the crease. BUT!!! Murphy’s law- so true…

The match turned out to be a tie, calling for the Super Over. Now this is where everything went wrong correctly  hehe!.. I don’t understand what in McCullum’s brain/mind made him come to a verdict of sending a spinner to bowl the super over! x-(

A spinner!!??? That too, one who’s not a Shane Warne or a Murali or a Kumble!!???

One who himself doesn’t know where his ball is going to turn ! Now considering everything else went hell so perfect, WHY McCullum’s brain disregarded that spinners get thumped much easily!Anybody?     -That’s where Murphy’s Law gets the due recognition!Yet again.

A most Stupid decision in the History of Cricket, I call it, rendering every person in World questioning every bit of it. and the core of it being WHY!

Only one answer-

Murphy’s Law- If anything can go wrong, it will.

It did.

Thank you, Murphy, for giving us one law which accounts for everything which a mortal can’t. Only you could answer WHY regarding the decision of the Captain of KKR!

IPL* + no PL**=Excuse for bad Result

The IPL fever is on...

The everyday debate in College. The Supporters, The Critics and The Indifferent ones (this category must get a life!), all doing their every bit to make their point heard!

Person 1:"Aaj to Rajasthan Jeetega! Shane Warne kya bowling dalta hai."

Person 2:"kya Ukhada usne 3 wicket leke??"  

Person X: "Dude, this time it has to be Mumbai ya!" 

Person Y: "Nahi Yaar, Hyderabad ka team dekh, Kya team hai, Gilchrist aur Gibbs! Aur kya   chahiye!"

Person A: "You saw? Dada kaise out hogaya pehle match mein, khelna ata nahi to khelta kyun hai, that too wasting 2 Goddamn overs producing only one run, WTF!!"

Me : (hitting him hard in his back)  "Shut up, A, Stop judging him right in match one!"(in vengeance, I hide the assignment of this person A, just prior to submission :P, i did return him, but only after the submission was over :D)

Person D: "Enough of IPL guys, how much have you done with Control Systems, portion's too vast! "

All of us: (ignoring him) "Whatever!"

Then there are people wearin T shirts of the teams they support, with Kolkata's Tee looking the best in the lot, black and yellow. Then the Mumbai Indians', the Blue tee with the Mumbai Indians icon, this Tee though is more popular here. and looks really fabulous!

Not only the students, the teachers too are gripped with the IPL fever, a teacher literally relieved us to catch up with the 4pm match!

On the whole IPL rocks the whole nation like a Calamity !! :D no matter where its played, here or abroad! :)  What i like about IPL is the 'Unity in Diversity' that it brings in! And only thing i don't like about it is, its time. its scheduled just before our even sem exams and what makes it worst is 'no PL' !!! though it offers us great excuse for scoring not so good. :P

Will come up with more, soon. have to study for Machine design test scheduled tomo. :)

The thing called . . .

Yes, haven’t been posting much of late, blame the submission spell, not me. Submissions, the inevitable part of engineer’s making!!!

So, there are certain worries that are eating me up since last couple of weeks… 

1. The thing called Life; dunno where is it heading to, and why.
2. The thing called F.R.I.E.N.D.S.(the American Sitcom); its eating most of my time of submissions, the upshot of which is my incomplete submission file till the last moment!
3. The thing called Loneliness; I’m alone since a couple of weeks,(this family where I stay as PG has gone to their native Kolkata)  and as much as I always say that it doesn’t, but loneliness does get the hell out of me!! Not that I’m afraid to stay in this 2bhk apartment, I’m of course not, but the ‘loneliness’ is taking my breath away! “Aunty, Uncle, I miss you, Come soon!!!”
4. The thing called Responsibility; I have realized that my shoulders aren’t yet strong enough to bear any additional responsibility. Coz these people have gone, the entire flat is mine, Therefore, along with the freedom comes also the responsibility which I hate to accept. Responsibility of managing the house.
5. The thing called IPL (Indian Premier League); which comes free packed together with our End Sem. Exams (or the other way round)! And I m gonna face a real challenge yet again, a challenge to control myself from watching it (and ofcourse Saurav Ganguly)!
6. The thing called Captaincy of the Kolkata Knight Riders’; which has been passed on to Brendon McCullum from Saurav Ganguly! This news has taken me to rage against THE THING CALLED COACH OF THE INDIAN CRICKET TEAM!!! Why every coach has to make sure that he removes Saurav Ganguly from under Captain's hat and get a replacement???!!! First Chapell and now Buchanan!!! Both are *ssho***!
7. The thing called Cooking; as I have to take care of myself since last couple of weeks, I tried my hand at cooking. And mind you, I’m a disaster at it !
8. The thing called Vacations; Confused as to how to spend the vacations to get the max out of it, this being the last vacations of Engineering. Do CAT classes or a Summer-job.
9. The thing called Friends; though I’m making new ones and great ones, there lies this little fear and guilt inside me to have lost the older and dearer ones.
10. The thing called Time; my enemy since the time I came to this world! Its slipping away (since the time I was born)so easily without being made much use of.
11. The thing called Realization; that Engineering will be over soon and that’d mean being exposed to a greater world now! The Realization that how much friends will be needed in this phase of life where we will all be loaded with a glut of responsibilities.
12. The thing called Blogging; for which I dunno how much I’ll be able to squeeze out. But I certainly will coz this is something that directs my brain to a focused although for half an hour or so. Coz otherwise, my brain is un-focused!
13. The thing called ‘The thing called’; ie this post. Its not ending and its making me grumpy and ill-tempered.

Life has become sick and tired of itself. There’s nothing that seems to make me upbeat. Not friends, not family, not nobody!!!

Makes me recollect these lines from a song by Raageshwari, one of my favourites:

Duniya mein chalo akele,

Apne ho armaan,

Apne hisse ki ho dharti,

Apna aasman.

Ambar mein udi hoon main duniya ke..

Are haan, ye duniya, ye duniya badi rasili.

 The lines seem so ideal. IDEAL??? IDEAL is only a word to describe the imaginary state of being called ‘ideal’. What we have in life is REALISM not the IDEALISM/impracticality.

Be it your Thermodynamics or Mechanics or any process or just GODDAMN ANYTHING, Have we ever reached THE IDEAL thing??? NO!

We have always lived a Real life not the Ideal. We have always lived the Approximations not the Accuracies.

Its just there to make us realize that we are not in an IDEAL world. Bloody then why is this word defined, when it doesn’t really exist!!!?? Makes me wonder, why was 0(zero) introduced when that really is the state of non-existence of anything. (But that’s totally a different debate, 0 is essential, I know) 

0 is nothing then why is it defined? Similarly, IDEAL is nothing then why is it defined? Is it to only make us extra-sure of other things that exist???

Maybe yes, coz the entire world is a Relative concept. Nothing in this world is Absolute.

The more I write, the more I realize how complex can be the structure of brain. Its hell in there! My brain is a hell! I started with something, ending with some other thing. Maybe that can make you realize the struggle that my brain is going through these days. Struggle with life and Struggle with ‘the thing called …’ Whatever!!!
